Pat's Camp experience includes 6 years as a camper and 5 years as a counselor. Pat believes that Camp Whitley is a gem of Whitley County. Steeped in tradition and well supported by community, thru individuals, businesses and industries of Whitley County. Camp is a magical place where a child can grow in many ways in the period of a week. Pat's favorite part of Camp is watching a camper grow in the areas of trust, teamwork and confidence. Pat wants to utilize his life skills and experiences to continue the growth and future of Camp Whitley.

In 2021, Tim's son attended Camp Whitley for the first time. After a year of his bragging about the joy's of Camp, Tim decided to join the board. While he never attended himself, his siblings did and loved it. In fact, Tim's son wears the camp shirt from the 80's which has been through 6 kids now! Tim worked for the Whitley County Sheriff's Department for 18 years and now is employed as the Deputy Marshall for the South Whitley Police Department.

Carlee joined in the summer of 2018 to help bring life back into Camp Whitley and connect with local youth. Hunter decided to join in on the fun by splitting her board seat in 2022! Carlee worked as a counselor at Camp Whitley in 2012 and as an assistant camp director in 2016/17 in Bloomington. Hunter worked as a counselor at a Karl E Kelley Memorial Youth Camp in 2015/16. Carlee has many family ties to Camp Whitley, including her sister, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents.

Shannon Clark

Carlee & Hunter LaRue

Shannon was born and raised in Columbia City and raised her three children here, as well. She loves our beautiful county, our community, being outdoors in all weather, educating myself and others, hanging out with kids but most of all she loves camp! Her children are third generation campers and they plan on continuing that tradition with their own families. She became a part of the board in order to do what I can to help usher Camp Whitley into the future while never losing our past!
